In fact, he had taken the supply of guns from Abu Saleem. He also named another underworld don when police questioned him about illegal possession of Arms. Makes this seem a “little” suspicious doesn’t it?
3. His affairs.
Sanjay Dutt became the bad boy because of his alleged love affairs. He started dating Tina Munim. Which ended up being the most impactful affair of his life. They had dated for almost 2 years before Tina called it quits. He went on to marry Richa Sharma after a few months. But after she was diagnosed with brain tumour and moved back to the US, the rumours of his affair with Madhuri started. Sanjay seemed to have already abandoned her, even though his alleged affair with Madhuri was short lived. She had recovered and came back to India for Sanjay, but the tumour struck again before claiming her life. Meanwhile, he was linked to a number of people like Lisa Ray. He married Rhea Pillai but was divorced soon. And he finally ended up tying the knot with Manyata.

When the movie Sanju came out, people claimed that it was Sanjay Dutt’s way of ‘white-washing’ his image. His image had been tarnished because of his drug addiction and connection to the underworld. People believed that releasing his biopic was a way to come clean to the public. The film was made by Rajkumar Hirani and it portrayed Sanjay Dutt’s entire life till date. There is no doubt that the movie has done a brilliant job with the film showing Sanjay Dutt’s addiction to drugs and his time in jail. But, there are few aspects that still remain untouched, leaving a sense of disappointment.
The filmmaker was accused of not showing the actor’s life in its entirety and Sanju was seen as an attempt to hide Sanjay Dutt’s controversial side and show the media in a bad light.
