Today the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of public sentiments in SSR unnatural death case and the case has gone to CBI. Additionally the SC also clearly mentioned in this judgment that any other case related to the death of late Sushant Singh Rajput will also be looked upon by CBI. That implies the Disha Salian case will also be taken up by the CBI.
A lot of people and big guns were eagerly waiting for this judgment. Some big names will be Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, Arnab Goswami, and Ishkaransingh Bhandari. They have constantly listened to the public on different platforms and responded.
There are many questions that we still have in the SSR case which Mumbai police have not given an answer to. In this article, we will try to discuss a few questions and conspiracy theories that have come up from the public.
Sushant Singh Rajput has been the talk of the nation for the past two months.
He was found dead at his home on the 14th of June. Ever since then there have been speculations as to what might have happened to him. At first it was declared a suicide but when things began to unravel, it seems like it could be otherwise. Many people have their opinions on what could have gone down that morning. Right now all the people of interest regarding Sushant’s death are being interrogated so the truth shall prevail soon.
Let us take a look at a few of the conspiracy theories regarding Sushant’s death.
The Mumbai police commenced an investigation stating that his death was a clear suicide. The cause of death was said to be asphyxia due to hanging. The police revealed that Sushant was upset with being linked to the death of Disha. Disha had died five days before him and a case of accidental death was registered. She died after falling from the 14th floor of her building. On the 3rd of August, police Commissioner of Mumbai, Param Bir Singh said investigators had found no link between the deaths of Sushant and Disha. Interrogation of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist confirmed that Sushant had consulted them and was on medication prescribed by them. The police also revealed that Sushant had initially tried to hang himself with the belt of a bathrobe, but it could not sustain his weight.
Following this, he used a green kurta. His clothes were strewn over the floor of his bedroom. The police concluded that they had fallen out when he had pulled the kurta from his cupboard. Due to a discrepancy between his height and the distance between his bed and the ceiling fan, the police concluded that he had hanged himself in an inclined position and no sign of struggle was found. Multiple reports stated that Sushant had hosted a party at his house the night before his death, the night before his death. This was denied by Mumbai Police and his house help, who was interrogated by Bihar Police. Mumbai Police initially reported that the CCTV in Sushant’s house was not working, but on the 3rd of August said they had assessed CCTV footage that ruled out any party at his home.
Several conspiracy theories have spread about the circumstances of his death including the claim that the actor was murdered. Some people have tried to link the death to his former manager Disha Salian, who died a few days before Sushant Singh Rajput, who also died by suicide. BJP has targeted Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray, over the actor’s death by suicide.
Some sources claim that Sushant did not open the door, the locksmith was called to his flat and was sent back immediately after his job was done because those present did not want the matter to be leaked at that time and death was not clear then. His friend Siddharth Pithani and servant Deepesh Sawant went into the room and saw Sushant hanging. One of the first people they contacted was his sister and she asked them to bring him down and check if he was still breathing or not.
In 10 minutes, Sushant’s sister, Meetu Singh reached the spot. Sources say, according to Siddharth, Sushant’s leg was touching the edge of the bed, supporting the Mumbai Police’s belief after their investigation so far that it was a case of suicide. Sushant’s death is currently being investigated by three agencies – Mumbai Police, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing a possible case of money laundering.
Let us see what might have happened in the days leading to Sushant’s death.
A week prior to his suicide, Sushant had googled three subjects multiple times:
On the 13 of June, the night before his death, Sushant left for his bedroom after dinner. At around 2 a.m. on Sunday, 14 June he made two phone calls, one to Rhea Chakraborty and another to actor Mahesh Shetty. Neither of the calls were answered. Sushant then woke up early that morning and he googled information about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and painless death.
Two of Sushant’s friends were living with him. He then spoke to his sister on the phone at around 9 a.m. and an hour later he had a glass of juice and his tablets. At around 11:30 a.m, his cook knocked several times to confirm the menu for the day. He and Sushant’s friends received no response. They then called a locksmith to open the door, following which they called Sushant’s sister and the police. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan. And weirdly, no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
The Mumbai police then claimed that Sushant had shown symptoms of clinical depression and was consulting a psychiatrist. The medical reports and antidepressants pills were found in his room.
Sushant’s death sparked a debate in India about nepotism and bad practices in the Bollywood film industry. A case was registered against Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor and four others in the Patna High Court by a lawyer, Sudhir Kumar Ojha. Which alleged that Sushant had been denied opportunities due to nepotism, leading to his suicide, but the case was later dismissed on 8 July. Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt were then bullied on social media.
Soon after, actress and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut and her team started a campaign against rampant nepotism in Bollywood. In an interview with Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, she blamed the “movie mafia” for Rajput’s death. She claimed that production houses like Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films had worked to ensure Rajput’s failure and that film critic Rajeev Masand had defamed him publicly.
Following this, Simi Garewal and A. R. Rahman spoke about groupism that they faced in Bollywood. An old video of Kader Khan describing the groupism he faced became popular on social media.
Amid the debate over nepotism, vote brigading by fans of Sushant led to the trailer of Sadak 2, released on 12 August 2020, to become the most disliked trailer on YouTube within 24 hours of its release.Speculating that Sushant had despaired of being shut out of the film industry due to favoritism, his fans blamed Bollywood insiders, including Mahesh Bhatt, and his daughter Alia Bhatt, who had spoken dismissively of Sushant in a talk show.
Steve Huff, who is a Paranormal Expert, claimed that he made an attempt to speak to Sushant’s spirit after receiving several requests from his fans. Steve Huff posted videos on Youtube of him supposedly speaking to Suhant’s spirit. When Steve asks, “Sushant, can you tell me what happened before the night of your death,” he gets an answer – “Big arguments with men”.
“Did someone murder you? Do you remember how you died?” and the voice says, “They brought a noose.”
Dr Nirav Anand, Paranormal Expert and Ph.D. in Healing Science, said that the expert’s claim is interesting and a breakthrough in the field. Steve Huff has researched over the subject for 10 years, but his claims cannot be 100% true.He explained further that science and technology has progressed a lot and modern techniques have been used by Steve Huff to interact with spirits.

Rhea has been in the limelight ever since Sushant died. After Sushant’s father, K.K Singh filed a case against her under various sections including abetment to suicide, alleging that Rhea and her family members financially cheated and mentally harassed Sushant.
Among investigating agencies too, the recent developments suggest that everyone wants a share of the limelight. As demands for a CBI probe are getting louder, the police forces in Patna and Mumbai are busy clashing with each other. A Patna Police team was recently in Mumbai for its own investigation into the case after Sushant’s family filed the FIR. This is even as the Mumbai Police has already questioned more than 40 people from the film industry regarding Sushant’s death. These include Mahesh Bhatt, Rajeev Madame, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Aditya Chopra among others.
Maharashtra’s minister of state for home Shambhuraj Desai took offence to the Patna Police team visiting Mumbai for its probe, saying it did not follow protocols. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has ruled out handing over the case to the CBI, saying there is “no question” about it.
Subramanian Swamy, who is among those pushing for a CBI probe, took to Twitter soon after Deshmukh rejected calls for a CBI probe. Swamy contends that Sushant’s death wasn’t a suicide but a possible murder.
If there’s anything that competes with the tragedy of Sushant’s death, it is the media coverage that has followed since. When the news first broke, we saw reporters rush to the Sushant’s home in Bihar, barge their way in and record the family in their most private moments of grief. From the 20th of July onward, Arnab Goswami put the focus on Sushant’s case. He has conducted 15 shows so far. Arnab went on to suggest that Mumbai Police should be made a suspect in the case. There is no denying the fact that post Arnab’s questions, the investigation has gained a new color and now, it has come to a stage where Sushant’s father has gone on to put up a valiant front to seek justice. We are no one to judge what is right or wrong, however, answers are needed, the entire nation awaits justice, whatever be it. Hate him, love him but, credit where credit’s due.
Raju Wadhwa, a practicing doctor in Internal Medicine in the US has claimed that a stun gun was used on Sushant. He proves his statement by saying that Sushant’s has burn marks on the left side of his neck. If you notice the picture, you can see that the left side of Sushant’s face is paralysed which is called “Bell’s Palsy” which happened due to high voltage. This is why his face is tilted to the right as the left side is paralysed and the eye is open. It will not close because the 7th cranial nerve was paralysed due to intense shock. This also explains why he could not have been able to fight back.
It was later discovered that there were two ambulances for Sushant’s body. Photographs and videos showed that the ambulance that took the body of Sushant from his house and the one that arrived at the centre for autopsy were different.
Even the stretcher on which the corpse was taken out of the house had changed by the time it reached the medical facility. Further, people have said that Sushant’s body was supposed to be taken to Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, but it went to Cooper Hospital. Seems a little suspicious doesn’t it? On the other hand, Sushant’s former staff member Ankit Acharya has claimed that there were two bodies and two ambulances when Sushant was taken to the hospital after he was allegedly found hanging.
Sandip Ssingh is an Indian filmmaker. He started his career as a journalist and later joined Bhansali productions as the CEO. He founded the film production company Legend Global Studio in 2015. Sandip is known for producing movies like Mary Kom, Aligarh, Sarabjit, Bhoomi and PM Narendra Modi.
Sandip Singh was present at the scene when Sushant’s body was found. He was the one of the first to arrive at the scene. He was seen consoling Sushant’s sister in the video footage and the pictures. However, in an interview with a news channel, Sushant’s family friend has stated that no one from the late actor’s family knows Sandip. They also added that it was Sandip who insisted on taking Sushant’s mortal remains to Cooper hospital. They went on to add that it was Sandip’s PR who was clicking pictures of him with Sushant’s sister. She even said that Sushant’s close friends also don’t have any idea about who Sandip is. However, they further stated that Sandip might have been close to Sushant many years back. He was ordering everyone and monitoring everything after he reached Sushant’s house.
Also, Sandip has changed his statements multiple times. For the unversed, Sandip claimed to be Sushant’s close friend. He even shared pictures of him with Sushant when they were living together in an apartment along with SSR’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.
Another video surfaced the internet in which a ‘mystery girl’ is being spotted outside Sushant’s residence on the day of his suicide. She was also spotted in the room in which Sushant was found hanging. The video shows the ‘mystery girl’ talking to someone outside Sushant’s residence. Then, in another glimpse of her inside the room, she can be seen talking to the same man who is holding a black bag. According to the public, the woman is identified to be Rhea’s brother Showik’s girlfriend Jameela Caluttwala and the man with whom she has been spotted talking is Sushant’s domestic help Dipesh. Some people are also claiming that she may be Rhea.
The ‘mystery man’ is said to be Dipesh who was seen taking a black bag while Sushant was being taken in the ambulance. People are assuming that Dipesh was trying to get rid of some evidence.
Like these, there are many more theories that have gotten people thinking that this is definitely a murder. A CBI investigation has been finally granted to find out what exactly happened to Sushant. All the prayers have been answered. Now the truth shall prevail.
