It’s true. After months of rumors, lingering and anticipation, the time is finally here- F.R.I.E.N.D.S Reunion. Friends as we all know is by far the most popular and one of the best American television sitcoms. Friends is made up of so many jokes, so much body comedy, so many surprises and awwws, and squeals of live-studio audience excitement. I’m sure you’ve spent many nights recumbent on your sofa laughing at, say, Ross and Phoebe debating evolution, or everyone impersonating Chandler or Rachel taking forever to tell somebody who the father of her baby is. All of this might have brought back the memories of the ten amazing seasons of this series.
Towards the end, when they all stood in the empty apartment together and decided to go for coffee, it probably brought you to tears because that meant that it had to end. Friends is a series you watch when you need a laugh, cry, advice or some comfort. The six main characters who are the heart of this show each of whom has an interesting, quirky personality often gets them into all kinds of hilarious situations.
Ever since it has ended, we’ve all been craving more. Well, our dreams are finally about to come true. The cast was set to gather for a special on HBO Max, to honor the iconic sitcom’s 25th anniversary. There were some bumps in the road to production, as the entertainment world has been on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But now, It’s official! The Friends reunion, called “The One Where They Get Back Together,” starts streaming on HBO Max on May 27.
